Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO)

We are currently looking for a SENCO for a long term position starting ASAP through to the end of the academic year.

This Birmingham school, with less than 1000 pupils has approximately 25% of students for whom English is an additional language. The school has been improving year on year through a focus on interactive and engaging lessons. Discipline and structure has also been instrumental in the improvements at the school and this has been lead by the Head Teacher and Senior Management Team. It is also conveniently located for all bus links

You will be an enthusiastic, committed individual with a proven record of classroom management and student support. You will oversee all SEN activities within the school and whilst there is not significantly high numbers of SEN students this is a key role.

Ideally you will have full QTS however if you have a good understanding of the national curriculum and are in a position to co-ordinate and work with children of mixed abilities then apply today.

• You must hold QTS or a UK recognised equivalent teaching qualification
• This position is subject to an Enhanced CRB Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
