Proposals Manager

Proposals Manager Location: Gloucestershire Salary: GBP45,000 + up to 50% sales bonus My client requires a Proposals Manager to join a busy Sales and Marketing team. Reporting directly to the Head of Sales and Business Development, the successful candidate will be required to lead the proposals process and project manage the various operational and technical parts of the business to ensure that proposals are of a high quality and win business.

This will be predominantly within the public sector arena, including Air Traffic Management, Defence, Law enforcement and Cyber Security

The successful candidate will have proven expertise at managing proposals and coordinating requirements between Operations, Sales and Marketing. Ideally coming from a technical environment the successful candidate will be able to acquire an understanding of the business and its products.

Proposals Manager Key Responsibilities:
- Reviews market analysis to determine customer needs, price schedules, and discount rates and the implements these changes
- Initiate and follow through the capture process as appropriate for all relevant prospects.
- By default manage all bids within a specified market sector ensuring reviews are completed to deliver winning proposals on time and to expectation.
- Lead the bid review process ensuring quality reviews at each stage.
- Lead the bid approval process, ensuring that bid data is accurate and complete.
- Develop and maintain a current network of relevant market contacts
- Ensures open lines of communication are available and utilised between the Sales& Marketing department and the relevant technical teams.
- Maintain high levels of verbal and written communications in all customer relations both internal and external.
- Develop a broad understanding of the company`s full portfolio of products and markets in order that resource may be flexed across the department as required.

Proposals Manager Skills and Experience:
- Experienced at the preparation of high quality pre-qualification questionnaires, requests for proposals and tenders from small c GBP25k proposals, through to GBP2m.
- Proposals experience from a product or engineering contracting environment.
- Thorough, accurate, detailed-focused and process compliant.
- Highly IT Literate

Mandatory Requirements
The successful candidate will be required satisfy the criteria for obtaining a full security clearance to SC level clearance Please familiarise yourself with the nationality and residency requirements for this before applying.

Some travel may be required as part of the position, therefore a valid Driving Licence is also mandatory.
