Procurement Category Manager - IT, Telephony, Technology. To £55,000 + £4,128 Car Allowance + Excellent Benefits An outstanding opportunity exists for a Senior Category Manager, specialising in IT/Technology procurement, to make an impact and play a key role in critical transformation projects that will drive our business forward.

The successful candidate will deliver category expertise within a newly established and centralised Procurement team, whilst maintaining a direct Business Partnering alignment to the IT and Technology function within the business. Collaborating effectively with key stakeholders, you will ensure that Procurement support is in line with the structure, objectives and culture of the function, demonstrating your credibility through proven expertise and knowledge.

You will be at the heart of significant investment in technology at Sovereign where you will be responsible for the procurement activities associated with a broad range of technology areas including Telephony, Customer Interaction Management (CIM) and Customer Relations (CRM Systems).

The successful candidate will have a strong commercial grounding and a proven track record in IT category management. You will demonstrate excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills along with the ability to manage suppliers; driving delivery and efficiency. A track record in project delivery is essential along with the ability to manage transition and appetite to keep abreast of technology developments in the external market.

You will be MCIPS qualified, with experience of E Sourcing and P2P systems. EU procurement regulations knowledge is desirable but not essential.

Occasional travel throughout our UK offices is required.
