MATERION Corporation – Job Description POSITION :        Financial Analyst, Treasury REPORTS TO : Director, Treasury Operations
Comp Range:  $70-75K
LOCATION:      Corporate Office - Mayfield Heights, OH
 
Duties and Responsibilities (* - Indicates that individual acts as back up for Director, Treasury Operations)
 
SEC Reporting
 
·          Prepare and coordinate the filing with R. R. Donnelley of SEC reports, such as the Company’s annual Proxy Statement*, 10-K, 11-K, 10-Qs* and 8-Ks* as needed
 
Accounting Support
·         Entries and analyses for the following:
o    Interest accruals
o    Deferred compensation accounts
o    401k accounts
o    Stock-based compensation expense
·         Prepare annual EPA compliance letters
·         Prepare quarterly debt compliance letters
·         Prepare Financial statements and Form 5500 for Pension Plan and S&I Plan
·         Prepare monthly Earnings Per Share calculation
·          Prepare Report of Foreign Bank and Financial Accounts (Form TD F 90-22.1)
 
Equity
·         Coordinate exercising of stock options/SARs with employees and brokers
·         Facilitate vesting and payout of restricted stock awards
 
Miscellaneous
·         Assist in the review of the Annual Report to Shareholders
·         Participate in activities of investor relations such as targeting potential investors and monitoring shareholder activity
·         Assist the CEO, CFO, Treasurer and Assistant Treasurer in various special projects and assignments as needed; Routine interaction will be had with different levels of management at Materion, outside legal counsel, insurance providers and independent auditors
·         Coordinate updating of website as required, including providing quarterly numbers for “Current Investor Update”
·         File Forms 144, 3, 4 and 5, as required*
·         Analyze monthly cost center expenses, prepare annual Treasury budgets for three cost centers, prepare balance sheet budgets such as Shares Outstanding, Directors Deferred Compensation, Stock Option Expense, Restricted Stock Expense, etc.
·         Monitor earnings releases and other financial news distributed by the peer group, customers and other benchmark companies
·         Prepare peer group ROIC calculations used to determine incentive compensation
·         Submit Directors’ Deferred Compensation contributions and prepare related schedules and JVs*
 
Education/Experience Required
·         Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA, CFA and/or MBA a plus
·         3-5 years of job experience
