Description: Managing new governance process, policies, agreements, source catalogs, and special purchasing programs. Supporting specific Product line(s) and New Product Introduction (NPI) programs. Liaise with the corresponding Category/Platform based Buyers.

Summary:
Responsible for providing purchasing solutions expertise using Quality, Cost, Logistics, Development, Management (QCLDM) to deliver maximum value in developing, communicating, and/or implementing a local or regional sourcing strategy for a specific business unit. Coordinate a major strategic project to improve enterprise engineering service.

An undergraduate degree from a college or university, major in engineering or business. Experience leading projects as well as teams, suppliers, and customers to effective solutions.

Skills and Competencies:
Strategic guidance (understand the current supplier base, evaluating strategic options, deciding a course of action, and beginning implementations). Team leadership (guiding decisions on sourcing, logistics, and resource management, as well as continuous process improvement and team-member mentorship). Intelligent problem-solving and customer support solutions (determining how to best satisfy Critical Customer Requirements while sustaining competitive advantage). Quality supplier relationships (developing mutually beneficial relationships with suppliers throughout the organization). Willingness to travel up to 25% of work time as needed. Fluency (able to speak, read, write, and comprehend fluently) in English. Ability to demonstrate strong interpersonal, analytical, leadership, and project management skills to develop close working relationships with others both inside and outside of the organization.

This position will start out supporting a project currently in process and then transition into a buyer:
-Supports a major strategic project, involving multiple business units and global suppliers. Participate in communication with tech managers, purchasing leadership team and global engineering services suppliers.
- Candidate needs 1 year Project Management experience

Additional qualifications the manager is looking for:
- Education minimum: Bachelor's in Engineering or Business.
- Stable work history - longevity (doesn't want a job hopper).
- Buyer experience specifically in Engineering services
