Senior Water & Wastewater Engineer

The Brisbane business is currently seeking a Senior Water & Wastewater Engineer to oversee a team of Water Engineers on a variety of QGC Village projects, providing guidance and support on a daily basis. The Senior Water & Wastewater Engineer will act as the first point of contact for internal and external clients, take responsibility for all aspects of water related projects and ensure the team operates in an efficient and effective manner.

Responsibilities would typically include:

Acting as the Senior Engineer on Civil projects related to water
Managing hydraulic/pumped and water and sewage treatment plant systems design
Managing gravity sewerage and potable water reticulation designs
Providing leadership and mentoring
Managing quality deliverables and scopes of work performed by the team
Ensuring effective deployment of safety plans

We are seeking expressions of interest from candidates who can offer:

Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering
Membership of Institution of Engineers Australia
Experience in water engineering within a consulting framework
Sound knowledge of industry standards and Australian codes
Strong leadership and management ability including excellent written and oral communication skills
Well-developed negotiation, contractual, and commercial skills
Registered Professional Engineer Queensland (RPEQ) affiliation or eligibility
