Solution Designer - Business Support Systems

This well known Telco requires an experienced Solution Designer to work with the business to develop end to end Solution Designs within the BSS and IT Domain as well as act as the Technical Lead on project Delivery.  Responsibilities:
   » Ensuring Business or Technical requirements received are clear and complete.
   » Create and own Solution Designs, which will involve:
   » Working with the various domain Subject Matter Experts and Operational teams to understand the impacted systems and changes involved.
   » Working with some or all of the technical teams from Content & Applications, Business Support Systems, IT and Engineering.
   » Working with the Architecture representatives to ensure that the overall architecture is maintained.
   » Ensuring maximum leverage is obtained from existing product and system implementations. Working on products, applications and hardware projects.
   » Will be the Technical Lead on delivering solutions through out the project life cycle, which will involve working with multiple vendors.
   » Act as the technical BSS & IT representative on cross-domain projects that are not BSS & IT led.
   » All other duties as directed by the Company.
Required Skills:
   » Degree qualified or equivalent in a computing related or engineering discipline
   » At least 2-3 years experienced in Solution Design
   » Design experience in a number of front- and Back End systems including Data-warehouses, CRM, Billing, Systems Management, Virtualisation, Directory Services, Very Large Databases, and more.
   » Have strong communication skills and be able to work at both a Business and Technical level.
   » Systems' development methodologies.
   » Good documentation skills.
   » Systems development and test experience in a large integrated environment.
   » Ability to lead and co-ordinate technical teams.
   » Understanding of telecommunications' products.
