English Teacher

Tradewind is looking for an exceptional English teacher who has previous experience of teaching English to A-level with a proven track record. This role would be to start in September 2011 for one term initially on a supply basis with a view to go on until the end of the academic year on a permanent contract.

Expectations are high and very good subject knowledge is demonstrated in the delivery of very well planned, varied, stimulating and challenging lessons with expertise and enthusiasm. QTS is a must for this role. Classroom management is a key factor so only teachers with a strong class room presence need apply. Our client is a large, mixed comprehensive school based in Hertfordshire. This is a good school which helps pupils to realise that 'they are all of equal worth and can achieve their potential regardless of their starting point.'.

The school serves a multicultural community and many of the students are bilingual. The school is over subscribed and is located in a very nice, leafy area, a short walking distance from the nearest station. In 2002 the school was awarded Performing Arts Status. The teachers have access to 45 interactive whiteboards so a good understanding of ICT would be looked upon favourably.
