SEN Teacher (ASD)

A school for children with Social, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties, Autism (ASD) and Communication difficulties in Lambeth is currently recruiting for an experienced teacher to work in one of their communication based classes to teach children with ASD and other communication difficulties. This position is to start ASAP and is for a minimum of one term with a view to go longer term/ permanent for the right candidate.

You will be a highly experienced teacher with a minimum of two years UK teaching experience. You will be familiar with the national curriculum as this is the level that the children will be working at. You will have ideally worked in an SEN setting before or have had experience working with vulnerable children who display challenging behaviours. It is imperative you posses knowledge of the Special Needs legislations (i.e. SEN Code of Practice) and can work with outside agencies, parents and carers working together to support students.
