SEN Teacher (PMLD)

A Special Needs school in Westminster is looking to appoint a qualified and experienced Special Educational Needs teacher to work in a challenging and unique environment for a sickness cover beginning after the Christmas holiday in January until the end of the academic year and potentially beyond.

The school is for pupils with Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) & Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) aged 5-19yrs. Their last OFSTED inspection described the school as ‘Good with some outstanding features’ with very positive relationships and good behaviour management evident throughout the school.

The site itself has been purpose built and has the state of the art facilities including a physiotherapy pool and sensory room. Somebody with a calm and patient manner would work well in this role and elements of personal care will be required depending on the specific needs of each pupil.

Pupils work at lower levels, with some working at P levels. Experience in PECS, Makaton, manual handling and Team Teach qualified would be ideal and preferred. Please send in your CV to be considered.
