A brilliant opportunity has arisen for a Special Needs teacher for a school based in the London borough of Waltham Forest. This is the chance to become a part of a very experienced team that is now expanding. This position is offered on a long term supply basis and prospective applicants should be willing to commence in post as soon as possible.

The school caters very well for a wide range of special needs. However each pupil has Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) that are complex. Therefore staffing ratios are very high and you will only be required to work with pupils in very small groups.

In order to be considered for this role you must have recent experience of working with pupils who have PMLD needs and have a genuine passion for this niche sector. It is also essential that you are at ease with delivering personal care, using a hoist, manual handling and ideally PECS & Makaton.
