Teaching Assistant (Primary)

A two form primary school in the London borough of Harrow is looking for a Teaching Assistant from January, to work across Key Stage 1 & 2. The successful candidate must have experience as a Teaching Assistant in a school environment.

The school is led by a fantastic Headteacher and two very able and supportive Deputies who have helped turn the school round in the last five years after standards had dropped to a very low level under the previous leadership team..

The school is based in an area of social deprivation and the social problems of the pupils and their families do impact on the schools work which is why the quality of the pastoral care is so incredibly striking. The pupils can be challenging but the school has a very clear “tough love” policy which is enforced very efficiently.

The school has a warm, supportive environment and it is obvious by the friendly, courteous interaction between all staff that there is a great deal of emphasis placed on respect from the top down which is reciprocated. It is a friendly, rewarding and happy school in which staff and pupils feel looked after and safe.
