One of the UK's leading tour operator's is currently looking for a Group Sales Executive to join their busy team. He will be maintaining excellent communication with suppliers and overseas agents at all times, making on-site visits when a personal presence is required by VIP and incentive groups.  This may include hosting familiarisation trips for agents, involving working out of office hours and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction (agent and direct) is maintained at all times. You will also be participating in trade events in the UK and overseas, as well as undertaking sales trips abroad to visit agents. As a Group Sales Executive you will be responsible for group functions such as chasing options offered to agents on limited time, checking groups' direct email on a daily basis, and replying to agents' requests promptly and efficiently. You will be providing agents with information requested regarding various destinations as well as services available and being aware of any contracted group rates, as well as special rates available for specific markets and/or dates. As a Group Sales Executive you will be negotiating ad-hoc wholesale group rates with suppliers and preparing quotes for overseas wholesale & retail agents, ensuring all options offered to agents are followed up and acted upon accordingly within the timescales set. You will be able to re-negotiate and/or amend rates offered in order to guarantee a confirmation whilst maintaining optimum profit margins. A Group Sales Consultant will be responsible for booking all elements of confirmed groups with suppliers and maintenance and up keeping of all itineraries and room lists prior to the arrival of groups as well as preparing tour documents and detailed agent itineraries as required and liaising with Tour Leaders/Managers during their stay here. You will be responsible for FIT functions which involves dealing with individual reservations, including on-line new requests, cancellations, checking availabilities via telephone or allocation/freesale., effectively using the reservations system (Tourplan) and handling agent's queries received by email on a daily basis. You will also be keeping up-to-date with any special tactical rates valid for all or specific markets and periods. 

You will be offered a competitive salary and will be expected to work Monday to Friday
