The position available is for you to become a valued member of our crew working for the London regional office. You will work at venues all over London and the south of England. The majority of work is within the M25. You will experience a large variety of work and every day will bring something different and interesting.

Due to the nature of the work there are Pinnacle crews working somewhere every hour of the day or night. You need to be flexible as this is a 24/7, 365 days a year position. The work of our crew is varied. One day you will be unloading a truck outside a hotel, the next laying covering at one of the Olympic venues, or helping the lighting, sound or set departments set up for a show or possibly being at a F1 event assisting with the big screen installations. We undertake a huge range of work within the corporate events industry, e.g. television, theatre and the festival business. We are currently quite busy and expect a lot of additional work this year which will be Olympic 2012 related.

If your application is successful you will be invited to an interview at our London office and you will attend an induction and training session. You will spend the day going through our crew handbook which covers basic working practices, industry awareness, our health and safety policy, the company structure, uniform and appearance code, our sustainability and client interface skills. Once you have successfully passed your induction you will be promoted to the crew and placed on our books for a probationary period.

As a new crewman you will be assigned to larger crews where a crew chief or senior crewman will mentor you and provide us with feedback on your progress. Upon successful completion of your probation you will be promoted to general crew and sent work on a continuous basis and a range of options will become available to you.

We run skills courses from operating forklifts, driving 7.5 ton vehicles, rigging, first aid, health & safety, show calls and follow spot operators. Pinnacle has a policy of promoting from within. All our crew chiefs and crew managers started as general crew and have worked their way up through the ranks. Vacancies in the office are always open to the crew first and the majority of the senior management started as crew. Our crew chiefs and crew are the face of our company. You play a key role in ensuring that the first impression is always a good one.

Our clients are from a broad spectrum - television companies, major sporting events e.g. F1 and cricket matches, event production companies, festival organisers and many others.

You don’t need to have any particular skills but if you have any of the following it will increase your earnings
* Forklift licences - rough terrain especially useful
* Scissor lift licence
* Cherry picker licence
* MEWPS or PASMA
* Electrical & Carpentry Qualifications
* CSCS or SPA Card

All our crew are PAYE temporary workers. This means that you are paid for the number of hours that you work. As an ex military candidate and during your probationary period you will start on £9.00 per hour and in addition you will receive an out of town supplement if you are working outside of the M25. As your skills and confidence grow and you show us your willingness to achieve and ability to lead, you will be given the opportunity to progress and can expect to earn up to £13.50 per hour.
