Host Nigeria topped the medal table at the All Africa Games with 85 golds and 231 overall after organizers revised the final tally Sunday. Shortly before the Games' closing ceremonies on Saturday, Egypt was said to have won the most golds and medals after capturing the men's volleyball tournament, lifting the north African nation to 80 gold, two ahead of Nigeria's 78.

But Nigeria Olympic spokesman Tony Nezianya said some results had not been added to the medal tally. With the new additions, Nigeria emerged the winner with 85 gold, four ahead of Egypt's 81. South Africa came third with 63 gold.
