Teaching Assistant (primary) in Lewisham

A large primary school in London Borough of Lewisham is seeking a Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible.

The school is rated as “good” by OFSTED. It enrols children from a wide variety of backgrounds, which means there is a high number of children with English as a Second Language (EAL).

The role will see you float between Foundation and Key Stage 1/2 classes, so you must be adaptable. You will be required to support children with learning difficulties and English as a Second Language on a one-to one and group basis.

The successful candidate must have at least 6 months experience and be able to provide references to back this up.

• You must have the legal right to work in the UK
• You must hold relevant certifications if specified above or a minimum of 6 months previous experience working with children in a school or nursery environment
• This position is subject to an Enhanced CRB Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
• Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained
