UI Designer Role encompasses responsibility for bringing Customer Journeys to life in the form of User Interface Prototypes and Designs for the User experience team. My client is a global and market resilient company with head offices based in West London. Their main Website in question is a multi brand, multi business and multi channel fully transactional Digital E-commerce application with just under 1,000,000 registered active customers. The site offers full integration to Europe s largest SAP billing implementation and fully comprehensive sales journeys.
They are presently looking to recruit a User Interface Designer who will be responsible for bringing Customer Journeys to life in the form of User Interface prototypes and Designs for the User experience team.
The ideal candidate will have:
» A solid background in producing good quality, highly usable Websites and Web application interfaces
» A minimum of 3 years experience in a Web Design and Development role
» Knowledge of writing XHTML, CSS and JavaScript (including AJAX), Spring (Shared Libraries)
» Knowledge of Web Accessibility guidelines (W3C)
» Familiarity working with JSP
» Strong knowledge of CMS systems (especially Interwoven and Version Control systems)
» Proficiency in Photoshop, Dreamweaver & Flash
» The ability to work well under pressure and perform to tight deadlines
Full role outline involves:
» Working with the extended User experience team in order to bring ideas and designs to life by implementing interactive prototypes which can be further developed in production journeys
» Presenting your designs in a clear, concise and professional manner to achieve sign-off
» Usability and browser compatibility testing under the guidance of the test manager for ongoing change.
» Producing semantic easily accessible and always standard compliant XHTML and CSS
