Applications Development Manager - Web Systems

MUST HAVE Heavy experience/knowledge with Oracle ADF

Client is embarking on a re-engineering project centered on the web commerce engine. We are transforming our applications framework into a true-service oriented architecture.

Our web environment is being moved from ASP to a Oracle ADF/J2EE web 2.0 environment.

It will be supplemented with a suite of portal applications where the web 2.0 functionality will be truly exploited to the benefit our customer base.

Duties and responsibilities:
MUST HAVE Heavy experience/knowledge with Oracle ADF.

Directly supervise the web development team responsible for both the current ASP application and the parallel development effort for the SOA-based web platform.

Provide technical mentoring to development team.

Work closely with business, technology and development teams to plan and launch projects on time, on budget and according to requirements and specifications.

Establish measurable work plans and staffing for projects.

Define priorities, authority and accountability structures, determine assumptions, changes, scope control and risk for application and product development and application changes.

Facilitate in-depth discussions between cross-functional teams to determine the goals and scope of new features/functionality for the website; effectively manage cross-functional teams to extract information from business leaders to create the overall website functionality requirements and roadmap.

Develop an overall website product/application plan by function and determine necessary resources to execute.

Responsible for suggesting methods to improve online operations, processes, efficiency, and service to improve overall customer satisfaction.

Reviews project proposals to determine time frame, funding, and procedures for accomplishing projects.

Review and fine-tune specifications and requirements documentation for all product and application development activity.

Work with the release management team to generate release notes and external communication of new website functionality and product roadmap.

Responsible for ensuring IT SOX and PCI Compliance Procedures are being followed and executed in team.

Requirements:
A minimum of 3 years managing a small to medium-sized Web Applications Development team.

Knowledge of web applications development and design in Classic ASP, and J2EE technologies.

Must have great team building and team management skills, project management skills, and solid written and oral communication skills.

4 year degree in a computer-science or related field.

At least two years experience in E-commerce web development.

Experience with Direct Sales/Multi-Level-Marketing a plus but not required.

Experience with multi-currency and multi-language (International) environments is a plus but not required.

Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance IT Procedures is a plus but not required.

Knowledge of PCI Data Security Standard is a plus but not required.

Knowledge of SDLC (System Development Lifecycle) is a plus but not required.
