Description Our client, a major global financial services provider engaged in retail and commercial banking, is seeking a C# SQL Server Development Manager. Permanent position New Jersey Product Control Group IT (PCG IT) is a sub division of Finance IT and responsible for supporting the technological needs of Product Control. As such new systems are developed and existing ones enhanced to meet a constantly evolving set of requirements. The teams portfolio of applications provides P&L; reporting; reconciliations and various control checks for PCG.



Main Function


   » To act as a development manager for PCG IT


   » Defining and ensuring adherence to development standards


   » Working with global development teams to agree common standards


   » Managing a small development team



Main Duties


   » Take Ownership of the development standards for the PCG IT Americas region and work with other regional development managers to agree common standards.


   » Responsible for PCG IT compliance to development standards.


   » To ensure all development is under continuous integration, has appropriate source control, NUnit testing and packaging.


   » To provide technical guidance to developers.


   » Review and update the current Cruise Control standards and ensure continuous integration is used for all development within the PCG Minor works and RAD development.


   » Review and update the current ClearCase/Perforce standards and ensure adherence by all developers.


   » Identify potential in development team members to delegate responsibility over time to build areas of technical excellence, in C#, SQL server, CI, NUnit, Source control, Visual Studio and packaging.


   » Line management responsibility for a small team of developers.



Qualification/Education Required


   » Degree level education with appropriate subsequent level of work experience or direct entry with equivalent level of work experience



Experience Required


   » Proven experience of building SQL server C# applications


   » Proven experience of defining and documenting development standards


   » Proven experience of team leadership
