Infrastructure Engineer (Enterprise Backup and Recovery Automation)

An experienced Enterprise Backup and Recovery Engineer is required to join this Australian Icon's Storage Team. Utilising the latest management and support technologies, this engineer will help provide cost effective, high available Backup and Recovery Solutions and Services to help support the business's operational and strategic requirements.

Responsibilities:
   » Deliver cost effective, highly available Backup and Recovery Solutions and Services which Support the business operational and strategic requirements
   » Implementation and Support of Backup and recovery technology solutions for projects across the enterprise (Unix and Wintel Platforms)
   » Provide technical Support as well as occasional on-call after hours support on a rotational basis
   » Contribute to the strategic planning, and capacity management of the backup solution (Software and Infrastructure).
   » Work with the Storage provisioning team and platform management teams
   » Work on ensuring SLAs are met with regards to implementation, backup and recovery success.
Required Skills:
   » Advanced skills in a large enterprise environment managing the installation, configuration and monitoring of IBM Tivoli Storage Manager (Backup and Recovery Management Environment), and related infrastructure (Storage devices, SAN/LAN networks).
   » Experience with HP Data Protector
   » Extensive experience managing EMC products
   » Proven ability to manage a variety of backup environments for production and disaster recovery
   » Working knowledge on Windows, Linux and HPUX Platforms
   » Understanding of Storage Strategies and functional usage for various applications/platforms
   » Ability to communicate with business and IT teams as well as gather and define requirements from business units
