QTP Specialist - Financial Services (S11)

Carreer opportunity with a Global Financial Services Organisation My client is a leading Global Financial Services organisation and they are currently seeking an experienced QTP Test Analyst to join a team staffed with  other Testing and Programming specialists. This team will be focusing on testing newly developed products and the successful delivery of pricing, deal execution and risk management systems

This role will suit someone with a background in Financial Service who has excellent communication skills and is excited by a challenge.

The key responsibilities of the role will be:

   » Analyse business requirements and assist in ensuring business requirement documentation is complete and testable
   » Assist in the formulation of test strategies
   » Plan testing requirements, develop test cases and perform test execution
   » Plan and execute testing of system fixes
   » Coordinate test environment and test data setup
   » Create, execute and report on automation regression test cases
   » Recognise issues and escalate as appropriate
   » Support releases to production on the weekend of implementation
   » Provide assistance, as required, with preparation of release notes
   » Provide post implementation support to Business as required

  The ideal candidate will have:

   » Experience in testing software systems
   » Good understanding of testing methodologies and test deliverables
   » Experience in preparing test plans, test cases and test data
   » Experience with HP QuickTest Professional
   » Experience with Test & Defect Management products such as Quality Centre & JIRA
   » Good communication skills and ability to work with the business and project team members 
   » Strong sense of ownership, with a passion for delivering quality
   » Strong self motivation with demonstrable initiative and flexibility
   » Experience with SQL Scripting

Any experience in testing pricing, deal execution and risk management systems will be highly regarded
