Project Manager - Financial Services (S11)

My Client is a well established and career promoting Financial Services Organisation. As a result of impressive business growth an opportunity exists for an experienced Project Manager to join a team responsible for managing a program of work to develop and implement an Oracle E-business suite application across a number of leasing businesses that operate nationally as well as globally.

This role would involve working across various initiatives at any one time, and will include functional and development projects to deliver the Oracle platform to new businesses or new locations, data conversion, application and database upgrades, and interfaces to other systems. Strong knowledge and experience in IT project management is essential, as is a track record of successful project delivery. Some projects may require travel, and the management of team members that may not be co-located.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

   » Defining new projects, including functional scope, resource planning, etc
   » Managing and delivering projects, including management of risks, resources and stakeholders, status reporting and project communications
   » Implementation planning and management
   » End to end accountability for project outcomes
   » Displaying sound leadership and people management skills
   » Contributing to the continuous improvement of the project team, including mentoring team members

To be successful for this role you need the following skills and experience:

   » Solid Project Management experience with at least 5-8 years in a pure PM role.
   » Background in Java development  
   » Compelling relationship building skills
   » Ability to analyse problems and propose viable solutions and outcomes
   » Proven ability to  manage concurrent projects
   » The ability to quickly learn the business and understand key business drivers

Any previous experience with the Oracle E-business suite or Leasing systems will be highly regarded.
