Business Analyst (Trading/Equities) - (S11)

My client is a distinguished and progressive Financial Services organisation and they are looking to recruit a motivated and experienced Business Analyst with extensive knowledge and experience in  retail Equities and Trading.

Your main responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

   » Identify, define and capture functional and non functional requirements at a detailed level in alignment with analysis methodology and best practices
   » Define project scope and estimate analysis effort for projects
   » Validate and document business requirements
   » Identify functional areas and stakeholders impacted by the project
   » Support the division's strategy by identifying strategic impacts of the project 
   » Support development teams by providing clarity on requirements where necessary
   » Work with the Project Manager to aid in the day to day management of the systems analysis, design, development and test process within a team environment
   » Maintain effective working relationships with clients and IT project team members, and be confident in liaising with senior project/program stakeholders
   » Review and QA test plans as well as document business processes 

You will need the following skills and experience to be considered:

   » Sound business analysis skills and experience in the delivery of projects or similar role in financial services.
   » 3-5 years of experience in a retail equities and trading domain
   » The ability to grasp new concepts quickly and take a pro-active approach to knowledge building both in relation to the business and systems landscape 
   » Ability to work closely and provide analytical support to various members of the project team across business and IT teams
   » Effective written and verbal communication skills, strong problem solving skills and accurate decision making abilities
   » Some technical skills to perform data analysis (SQL)
   » Sound interpersonal skills with the ability and/or interest to facilitate workshops
   » Tertiary qualifications in commerce, finance, business, IT, engineering or a comparable field.

Any experience with Trading platforms, retail trading or wholesale trading will be highly regarded!
