This international school based in Helsinki is an independent, coeducational day school which offers an English language educational program for Kindergarten through Grade 12. The school was founded in 1963 as an elementary school, serving primarily British students. It now serves students from many different countries and language backgrounds. The language of instruction is English.
Faculty: The Faculty consists of highly qualified and experienced teachers, many of who have had prior international school experience. These include a nurse, guidance counsellor, librarian, EAL and special education teachers as well as teaching assistants. Most of the full-time staff have advanced degrees. 

You will be responsible for the teaching of Maths Standard at the IB Diploma level to Grades 11 and 12. (ten periods per week) The teaching of MYP Maths at Grades 8, 9 and 10 (fifteen periods per week) Homeroom for Grade 11 (1 period per week)
 
You will be

- Educated to degree level with teaching certificate from home country.
- Evidence of CPD
- Successful experience of some or all of the following:
- Teaching to Higher Level in Mathematics- AP A Level or IB

The salary for a teacher with five years experience, PGCE and masters degree would be 3377 Euros per month before tax. The tax rate in Finland is approximately 30%. A master?'s degree is not necessary but most Finnish teachers have them. Benefits include a furnished flat centrally located and flights and shipping at the start and end of contract. The contract would be two years initially with an option to make permanent on the agreement of both parties.
HOURS OF WORK:             26 hours per week/full year basis
