The Bid Manager has the responsibility for leading and ensuring the delivery of first class business proposals, tenders and presentations. Working with the Business Development Manager and in close liaison with the Partners and other professionals within the Practice, this person is responsible for agreeing bid strategies and creating high quality, tailored documents, attending debriefings, providing appropriate feed back. You will also be responsible for coaching other professionals throughout the Practice in effective bidding and the development and management of our bid management systems and processes.

The Person:
Will have a thorough understanding of the bid management process
Ideally have previous experience working within the property and construction industry or a professional service environment
Process strong project management skills
Experience producing business proposals, tenders and presentations
Experience of attending debriefings and feedback meetings, reacting proactively thereafter
Have excellent personal communication skills and the ability to develop relationships at all levels
Ability to prioritise and work under pressure to meet deadlines
Have the ability to work on their own initiative and respond appropriately and pro-actively to different situations
Be accurate and have an eye for detail
Be proactive and have a enthusiastic nature
Possess good time management and be reliable

The Role:
Act as the focal point for Bids within the Practice
Research tender opportunities and bring these to the attention of the Business Development Manager
Agree bid management strategies with relevant parties
Lead the completion and production of expressions of interest and tender submissions
Harvest Bid information from relevant personnel/reference points with the Practice including conducting internal interviews etc.
Ensure the necessary information required for bids/tenders is assembled and submitted in accordance with expected standards and to client deadlines
Devise and lead the production of presentation material, including Powerpoint presentations, for tender interviews
Ensure Business Development bid records are up-to-date
Attending debriefings and obtain feedback on bid/tender submissions
Utilise feedback (both positive and negative) on bid/tender submissions to improve upon future such submissions
Review, develop and improve the bid management process
Coach internal Partners and other Practice members in effective bid management
Regularly communicate with branch office business development representatives.
Visit branch offices when required
Represent at external and internal events
Day to day supervision of the Bid Co-ordinator
Other duties as assigned by the Business Development Manager
