Demand for career advice has risen by 20 per cent due to the competitive marketplace, recruiter NES says.

NES has experienced a 20 per cent increase in visits to the firm’s career management tips webpage in the last two months, with CV writing guidance increasing by 17 per cent and interview advice by 22 per cent.

“Who can blame people for wanting to find out how they can beat the increased competition?" says Matt Cody, NES marketing director.

"Jobseekers are conscious they they’re up against more applicants for new jobs and it’s great to see that they’re turning to professional recruitment agencies for the guidance they need.”
